Loper Insider - Nov. 23, 2009Coming to a close.
Well Loper volleyball came to an end this week. We played Minnesota-Duluth
in the first round of Regionals and got beat in three sets. This just being our third
loss of the season and just like that, it's done. It was a tough way to finish. Duluth
was very, very good! They had big girls along the net that could hammer any ball
to the floor! We tried different things and rotations to try and stop them, but
nothing seemed to work. Slowly, we realized that this game was slipping away
from us. It wasn't that we played bad either! We defended pretty well, we just
couldn't get the ball to fall on their side of the court.
Afterwards, we were pretty upset but knew that this loss didn't put a damper on
what we had accomplished this season! We did a lot of good things and had an
outstanding record of 33-3.
