Four area team advanced to the finals in Class C and D sub-district volleyball tournament action around southwest Nebraska Monday, Nov. 1.
Southwest, Cambridge, Eustis-Farnam and Hitchcock County were the four area teams that advanced to sub-district finals Tuesday, Nov. 2.
Elm Creek finishes 2-0 at home triangular with Southern Valley, FranklinELM CREEK - The host Elm Creek volleyball team took care of Southern Valley 25-22, 16-25, 25-23 and Franklin 25-15, 25-19 on Tuesday.
In the other match, Southern Valley swept Franklin 25-15, 25-18.

Bailey Mahlberg led Elwood (8-5) with 10 kills and six blocks. Sami Ferguson added six kills and seven blocks.
Molly Weissert had seven kills for the Pirates, while Joni White and Rachel Mahlberg combined for 27 set assists.
