SIDNEY – The Sidney Lady Raiders brought high drama to Cabela’s Athletic Facility during the first set of a volleyball match with Gering Tuesday night.
The Lady Raiders overcame comeback bids by the Lady Bulldogs, ranked No. 10 in Class B by nebvolleyball.com, to win the first set 28-26.

SIDNEY - The Gering volleyball team stayed on a roll Tuesday night, registering its eighth straight win with a 26-28, 25-22, 25-16, 25-17 victory over Sidney.
The win helped Gering gain a little redemption against the Red Raiders, who defeated the Bulldogs in two sets in their previous meeting Sept. 22 at Sidney.

SIDNEY – The Sidney Lady Raiders picked up a signature win during their volleyball triangular Thursday night at Cabela’s Athletic Facility.
The Lady Raiders (6-7) defeated district rival Gering, 25-23, 25-16 in their opening match and capped the evening with a 25-23, 25-19 victory over Kimball.

NORTH PLATTE - North Platte and Ogallala hooked up again Thursday in North Platte for another volleyball battle in West Central Nebraska.
Unofficially Ogallala's Emma and Kendall Schroer led the way in the first set putting down three kills apiece as the Lady Indians took the set 25-18. The two rivals had to go overtime in the second set with Ogallala squeaking out a 28-26 set and match win.

KIMBALL — Hit hard with injuries and illness, the Gering volleyball team managed to garner enough energy to post a pair of wins over Kimball and Sidney on Thursday in the Kimball Triangular.
Playing without the services of starting hitter Shaylah Schadwinkel, and a number of other players battling the flu, the Bulldogs snapped their three-match losing streak to improve to 5-4 on the season.

Northwest wins three at Twin Cities ClassicSCOTTSBLUFF— Class B No. 4 Grand Island Northwest raced past three opponents in the first day of the Twin CitiesVolleyball Classic Friday.
The Vikings downed Sidney 25-13, 25-7, Alliance 25-15, 25-14, and Gordon-Rushville 25-13, 25-7.
Toree Wieland led the Vikings (18-2) in service points against Sidney with 12, Emily Jones added four kills and four ace blocks, Karny Kuehl four kills and two ace blocks, Makayla Schimmer nine service points and nine assists and Halie McNelis 10 digs.
