DAVID CITY — The David City volleyball team was swept in staight sets Thursday by Raymond Central, losing 25-20, 25-15, 25-17.
Dana Vandenberg did a little bit of everything for the Scouts. She led the team with 11 assists, but also had six kills, three ace serves and seven digs in the match.
Raymond Central defeats David City in five setsRAYMOND CENTRAL — The David City volleyball team couldn’t complete its comeback attempt Thursday against Raymond Central, losing 20-25, 25-23, 25-22, 16-25, 15-13.
In the fifth and final set, the Scouts trailed 10-3 before storming back, but could not finish off Raymond Central.
Shayla Novak had 14 kills, two assists, one block, seven ace serves and 22 digs. Brooke Fozzard had a career-high 13 kills, two blocks and one ace. Becky Buntgen had 20 digs and Ashley Fendrich had 22 assists.
