Ansley cruises over Anselmo-Merna, Pleasanton at triangularPLEASANTON - Top-ranked Ansley cruised to two more victories (25-21, 25-9 over Anselmo-Merna and 25-15, 25-13 over Pleasanton) at the Pleasanton triangular on Tuesday.
In the other match, Anselmo-Merna downed Pleasanton 25-16, 25-13.

LOOMIS - It's been a while since the Elwood girls have played a meaningful volleyball tournament match.
So naturally, it took them a little while to get started.
Class D2 - Notes for week of Oct. 5-10Ratings Comments: Wallace and Mullen both took big steps forward with impressive sweeps last week. Wallace avenged its only loss, a three-set affair at the Paxton Tournament on Sept. 22, with a home sweep of the Tigers on Friday. Three days after taking C2 No. 5 North Platte St. Pat's to five, Mullen handed Hay Springs its first defeat with a home sweep.

ST. PAUL — The Greeley-Wolbach Titans proved there’s strength in numbers Thursday night, as the Titans secured a spot in next week’s state volleyball tournament with a victory in the Class D-2, District 4 Championship.
The Titans defeated Pleasanton 25-22, 25-23, 25-19 in a match that probably wasn’t as close as it looked. And the lion’s share of the credit for the win goes to the G-W front line, which overwhelmed the Bulldog defense by consistently being able to hit from all angles, regardless of who was in the lineup.
Squiers hired as new Pleasanton head coachPLEASANTON - Jordan Squiers, daughter of University of Nebraska-Kearney coach Rick Squiers, was recently hired to be the head volleyball coach at Pleasanton High School.
