BELLEVUE - Bellevue University head volleyball coach Trish Siedlik announced today the signing of three area athletes to national letters of intent to continue their academic and athletic careers at Bellevue University beginning in the fall of 2010.
The newest Bruins are 5-10 outside hitter Annie Benson (Springfield, Neb./Springfield-Platteview HS), 5-10 middle blocker/rightside hitter Courtney Hendricks (Omaha, Neb./Millard West HS) and 5-11 outside hitter/middle blocker Ashley Wurdeman (Columbus, Neb./Central CC/Lakeview HS).

Adams Central, Boys Town to drop to Class C1, Cozad, Platteview to to go back to Class BBoys Town and Adams Central will drop to Class C-1 in the 2011-12 school year for basketball and volleyball.
The Nebraska School Activities Association on Friday released this year's enrollment figures, which determine classifications for all sports except football, which is reclassified biennially.
Platteview returns to Class B after a one-year drop. Cozad also will be Class B.

Pool play: 8:30 a.m.- Pius X vs. Platteview, Norris vs. Blair; 9:45 a.m. - Omaha Mercy vs. Platteview, Beatrice vs. Blair; 11 a.m. - Pius X vs. Omaha Mercy, Norris vs. Beatrice; 12:15 p.m. - Fifth place, third place matches. 1:30 p.m.-finals.
