NPCC sweeps Southeast Community CollegeThe Lady Knights had an easy night on Wednesday night.
North Platte Community College hosted Southeast Community College in volleyball and were prepared for a tough match.
Instead the Lady Knights jumped out to sizeable leads in each set and easily handled the Lady Storm 25-19, 25-16 and 25-12.

COLBY, Kan. - North Platte Community College head coach Sally Thalken is pleased with the way the Lady Knights played in the Colby Community College Tournament on Friday and Saturday.
The Lady Knights went 2-2 in the tournament.

WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. - North Platte Community College got off to the fast start they wanted in set one Saturday afternoon against the Raiders of Grand Rapids in the consolation finals of the Junior College Athletic Association Division II National Volleyball Championships.
But the Lady Knights faltered down the stretch in three of the four sets, dropping the consolation final in four sets 25-22, 22-25, 25-21 and 25-22, finishing 10th with a 2-2 record in the tournament.

The Honorable Lauri Blake, Judge of the 336 District in Texas, has been selected as the 2010 Mid-Plains Community College Alumni of the Year.
Judge Blake was presented with the award during the Nebraska Community College Association’s Annual Meeting held Oct. 5-6 at the Western Nebraska Community College campus in Scottsbluff.

North Platte Community College upended North Dakota State College of Science 25-19, 27-25, 26-24 in the first match of the District G playoff on Friday. The first team to win two matches wins the best-of-three playoff and a berth in the NJCAA Division II National Tournament. The second match will be at 11 a.m. today with the third match, if necessary, 30 minutes after the conclusion of the second match.
