East Husker Conference releases post-season awardsThe East Husker Conference recently released its post season awards.
Final regular season standings were:

WISNER - North Bend finished second Saturday at the East Husker Conference Volleyball Tournament.
Wisner-Pilger defeated the Tigers 26-24, 25-22, 25-14 in the finals.
Alexis Allgood and Amy Baumert had nine kills apiece for the Tigers. Mallory Hull had five kills while Sammy Dirkschneider had four kills and two ace serves.

PENDER - North Bend picked up a pair of wins Tuesday night during a volleyball triangular.
The Tigers defeated Pender 25-20, 25-16 and Emerson-Hubbard 25-13, 25-17.

Wahoo Neumann volleyball opponents were well aware of Alyssa Stanek's power as a hitter, but her versatility helped the Cavaliers succeed.
"Alyssa is a great athlete that just wants her team to have success even if all eyes are on her," Neumann coach Shelly Hagemann said. "She would find other ways of putting the ball away in the front row like tipping to the open spot or a roll shot to the corners to keep defenses off-balance. Every team was keying on the hard hit so she just changed her tempo and made the defense move."

COLUMBUS - There is no questioning the heart and fight the North Bend Central volleyball team played with Friday night.
NBC pushed Lutheran High Northeast but the Eagles showed why they are the top-ranked team in Class C-2 winning 28-26, 25-22, 25-20 and claiming the District C2-4 championship.
North Bend defeats Lyons-Decatur NortheastThe North Bend Central volleyball team won over Lyons-Decatur Northeast 25-18, 25-18, 25-15 Tuesday night.
Ashley Dvorak tallied 10 kills for North Bend while McKenzie Hartman had eight and Amy Baumert six.
Livi Flamme finished with 23 set assists in the win. Hartman ended with seven ace serves and Taylor Walla led with 15 digs while Hartman added 12.

The Scribner-Snyder volleyball team dropped a five-set thriller to North Bend Central Tuesday.
NBC won 25-10, 20-25, 23-25, 27-25, 15-9.

NORTH BEND - Ashley Dvorak's love for volleyball is taking her places - specifically Australia.
Dvorak, a 6-0 junior middle blocker at North Bend, has been chosen to represent Nebraska July 11-23 in the 22nd annual Down Under Sports Tournaments.
