Nebraska Elite 14 Evolution is 7-3 at AAU NationalsORLANDO – The Nebraska Elite 14 Evolution team is 7-3 in the 14 Club Division through the first three days of the AAU Nationals in Orlando, Fla. and is one of the top two seeds in the 14-team championship bracket that was to be played on Saturday.

OMAHA - The ninth annual Asics President's Day Tournament is set to begin on Saturday morning at the CenturyLink Century and Nebraska Elite Sports and Fitness Complex.
More than 4,000 girls from all over the United States are expected to participate this year, said Tony Carrow, who is the director of the tournament.

COLUMBIA, MO. — Rock Bridge girls' volleyball coach Tatum Anderson and her assistant, Catie Wilson, may be new to the school and to coaching, but they know each other and the sport well. They've experienced a lot together on and off the court.
Natives of Omaha, Neb., a popular spot for high-level volleyball, the pair's paths crossed early. Their high schools were only a few miles apart, and their volleyball teams were rivals.
Elkhorn students seeking teams for Nets for Nets 3-on-3 volleyball tournament May 15OMAHA – Two Elkhorn Ridge Middle School students are using their love of volleyball as a way to try and raise money for a cause dear to their hearts.
Abi Heller, who plays for the River City Juniors Volleyball Club, and Ashley Knight, who plays for Nebraska Elite Volleyball Club, have planned a Nets for Nets Volleyball Tournament and Clinic on May 15 at The Courts in Omaha with the proceeds from this tournament going towards providing bed nets for residents in Sudan to protect them from disease carrying insect, bugs and poisonous scorpions while they sleep.
“We both feel so blessed to have all the things we do and what better a way to combine the thing we love most to a cause we feel is very important - the Nets for Nets Volleyball Tournament and clinic,” said Heller and Knight in an e-mail they sent out promoting the tournament and clinic. “We want this event to be a community wide effort, so we are really reaching out to players and families all over the Omaha area to come and play.
Five other teams also qualify for USAV at Northern Lights, Mid East QualiferThe following Nebraska club volleyball teams have qualified for the USAV Nationals in Atlanta, Ga.

Many Nebraska teams will be in competition at the second big national qualifying tournament this weekend in Kansas City.
Three bids to the USAV Nationals are up for grabs in the open divisions, while two will be awarded in the club division and one in the 12 club tournament.

Nebraska Elite 16 Top Gun in the 16 Open Division and River City Jrs 141 in the American Division both qualified for the USAV Girls National Championships at the Colorado Crossroads Qualifier Tournament.
Members of the River City Jrs 141 are Asia Kloewer, Lauren Salerno, Evelyn Benda, Molly Schiermeyer, Kelly Worthington, Madi Norblade, Sage Meyer, Kenzie Swanson, Santana Gallegos, Gessica Gdowski and Elie Kloewer. Rick Hughes is the head coach.
Nebraska Elite 16 Top Gun includes Sara Vitito, Michelle Thommi, Olivia Schonewise, Jessica Diederich, Allexa Elman, Amanda Foje, Jessica Bird, Sami Hansen, Megan Ruzicka and Meagan Kerns. Korrine Schuster is the head coach and Tony Carrow is her assistant coach.

Oklahoma Peak Performance 18 Smack wins 18 Club Division at Asics Presidents Day ClassicOMAHA - The Oklahoma Peak Performance 18 Smack team went 9-0 to win the 18 Club Division of the Asics Presidents Day Classic Tournament held at the Qwest Center.
Smack lost just one set to Iowa Rockets 18 Black, but won that match 25- 21, 24-26, 17-15. In the tournament on Feb. 21, Smack defeated Iowa Ice 18-1 25-22, 25-16, Hutch Area Elite 18-1 25-19, 25-19 and in the championship defeated Mizuno Northern Lights 182 25-20, 25-14.
The Nebraska Elite 18 Lasers were 13th with a 7-2 record. The Lasers won the Silver Bracket Tournament with a 25-17, 25-15 win over Premier 18 Black, 25-22, 25-16 win over Denver 18-1 and 25-23, 25-22 win over Topeka Elite 18-1.
