Many Nebraska teams will be in competition at the second big national qualifying tournament this weekend in Kansas City.
Three bids to the USAV Nationals are up for grabs in the open divisions, while two will be awarded in the club division and one in the 12 club tournament.

OMAHA - The Nebraska Elite Who Dat 18s team came into the 2011 Asics President's Day Tournament unbeaten on the season.
Despite suffering its first loss 12-25, 25-17, 16-14 of the season to IPVA 18 Black in pool play, Who Dat emerged as the 18 Open Tournament champions with an 8-1 record.
"I think that we really pulled together and played at a very high level to end the tournament," Who Dat head coach Nick Schuster said. "We were able to learn a lot about this group and what we are capable of in our first true multi-day event. It was a good measuring stick for us and showed us some areas where we need to improve upon as we move forward into qualifier season.
2011 Great Plains Volleyball Club season off and runningThe club volleyball season is off to a fast start, especially in Omaha with tournaments being held the past three weekends.
Many of non-Metro club teams start their season this weekend with the GI Vikes Volleyball Club January Jam tournament on Saturday and Sunday at Grand Island Northwest High School. The 10s, 12, 13s are scheduled to play on Saturday, while the 14s are set for Sunday.
Other Tournaments on the docket this weekend are: the NVA Runza Challenge in Lincoln with the 12-14s on Saturday and 15s on Sunday; Elite Classic in Omaha with the 13s and 14s on Saturday and 12s, 13s, 14s on Sunday; the Premier Volleyball Tournament with 16s, 17s and 18s on Sunday; Oasis January Blitz sponsored by Nebraska Impact with 10s, 12s, 13s on Sunday; Club Metro Classic I with 12s, 13s, 14s, 15s, 16, 17s, 18s on Sunday; Bellevue Volleyball Bash with 14s on Sunday; and the MVP Spikefest with 16s, 17s and 18s on Sunday.
