Loup County's Shelby Koncel commits to Dana College
by Darren Ivy

BLAIR - The Dana College volleyball team added another offensive weapon to its arsenal. Coach Rayna Cain announced the signing of Shelby Koncel to a national letter of intent.

Koncel earned All-State Honorable Mention honors at Loup County High School during the 2007 and 2008 seasons. She also was a three time all-conference performer.

“I love the team because they are like a big family and from the moment I first met them,” said Koncel on her choice of Dana College. “I am excited to finally become a member of the team!”

“We are very excited to have Shelby a part of our program,” commented Coach Cain. “She is a smart and aggressive player that will give us depth on the Outside and possibly in the Middle.”

She plans to major in Elementary Education.
