Logan View edges Tekamah Herman in five setsClick to view story Fremont Tribune.
TEKAMAH - Logan View used an aggressive performance at the service line to defeat Tekamah-Herman 26-24, 25-16, 23-25, 16-25, 15-7 in high school volleyball Tuesday night.
Senior Kalie Einspahr had seven ace serves for the Raiders. Sophomore Amber VonSeggern had six and McKayla Heinke had four.

OAKLAND - Fremont Bergan discovered a soothing remedy Tuesday night for the blue feeling left over from Saturday's Centennial Conference tournament.
The Lady Knights won a pair of matches in easy fashion over Oakland-Craig 25-11, 25-11 and Logan View 25-7, 25-17 during a triangular played at Oakland. Bergan, now 17-6, had seen a seven-game win streak come to an end Saturday when it lost all three of its matches.
Tekamah-Herman defeats Logan ViewTEKAMAH - Heather Haber had 17 kills and Alex Langley added 14 as Tekamah-Herman defeated Logan View 23-25, 25-21, 25-16, 25-16 Tuesday night in high school volleyball.
Mariah Farrens added seven for the Tigers. Langley and Marissa Rasmussen had three ace serves apiece.
Kaitlin Scholl led the Raiders, 2-2, with 16 kills and Kali Einspahr contributed eight.
Havekost, Stollberg help Logan View to victory over Lyons-Decatur NortheastClick to view story on Fremont Tribune
The combined service of seniors Karli Havekost and Abby Stollberg were a big help as Logan View defeated Lyons-Decatur Northeast 25-15, 23-25, 27-25, 25-22 in high school volleyball Tuesday evening.
The two seniors combined for 28 of 32 from behind the line. Stollberg led with 14 points and Havekost finished with seven along with 10 kills. Junior Kali Einspahr added 13 points.

Logan View volleyball and football fans will get a shot of nostalgia and school pride with back-to-back alumni events Sept. 2 and 3 sponsored by the Raiders' athletic boosters.
Nebraska All-American and LVHS alumna Jordan Larson, will be honored during the Sept. 2 home volleyball game against Douglas County West. Fans may purchase glossy, full-color volleyball books (donated by the Lincoln Journal Star) and posters and have them personally autographed by Larson. All book and poster proceeds go to the "Susan G Komen for the Cure" organization in her mother's name, Kae Clough.

HOOPER - Logan View will be honoring one of its most prolific athletes in school history during a ceremony Thursday night prior to the Raiders' volleyball match against Douglas County West.
Jordan Larson, a former All-American at the University of Nebraska and a member of the United States Women's National Volleyball Team, will have her jersey retired in a program scheduled to start at about 6:30 p.m. Larson and Angie Svec, one of her former high school coaches, are scheduled to speak.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The U.S. Women’s National Volleyball Team rides a six-match win streak into the 18th FIVB World Grand Prix Final Round that begins on Aug. 25 at Ningbo, China.
The FIVB World Grand Prix Final Round is a five-day, six-team round-robin event being played Aug. 25-29. Team USA faces Poland on Aug. 25 at 1 p.m. (10 p.m. Pacific Time on Aug. 24) in the opening match, then faces Italy on Aug. 26 at 1 p.m. (10 p.m. Pacific Time on Aug. 25). On the middle day of competition, the Americans challenge two-time defending champion Brazil at 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 27 (12:30 a.m. Pacific Time) before playing host China on Aug. 28 at 7:30 p.m. (4:30 a.m. Pacific Time).
