Cari McGarvie didn't have her usual sense of humor and upbeat personality last Tuesday when Lincoln North Star's volleyball team played host to Lincoln Southeast.

The 5-foot-10 senior middle blocker's bout with the flu, however, didn't totally sap her physical strength. McGarvie responded with 22 kills and four ace blocks in North Star's four-set win, even though she admitted nearly a week later she probably shouldn't have been playing.
