Nebraska Impact Select Banzai places second in 17 Club Division at Asics Presidents Day ClassicOMAHA - The Nebraska Impact 17 Select Banzai team narrowly missed winning the 17 Club Division at the Asics Presidents Day Classic on Feb. 19-21 at the Qwest Center in Omaha.
Banzai went 9-0 in the tournament before losing 19-25, 25-14, 15-13 to Tejas 17 Rox (10-0) in the finals. Banzai also went three sets 22-25, 25-23, 15-10 to defeat Platform Elite 17-1 in the tournament.
Team members are Angela Yee, Macey Danker, McKenna Zeller, Cassidy Yong, Jessie Mosby, Serena Yong, Jordan Nuffer, Olivia Roland, Whitney Kostal, Janaya Fox and Christin Williamsen.

LINCOLN – The Lincoln Magic Tournament on Sunday provided a chance for a couple of 16 Gold Division teams to get their first taste of the 2010 club season.
Both the South Central 16s and Lincoln Magic 16 Trix looked much further along that would be expected at this point of the season.
The two teams each went undefeated in pool play at the Lincoln Magic Volleyball Complex in Lincoln, but South Central won a higher percentage of sets so it received the top seed and a bye for the semifinals of the 16s Gold Tournament.
