Nebraska Impact Select Banzai places second in 17 Club Division at Asics Presidents Day ClassicOMAHA - The Nebraska Impact 17 Select Banzai team narrowly missed winning the 17 Club Division at the Asics Presidents Day Classic on Feb. 19-21 at the Qwest Center in Omaha.
Banzai went 9-0 in the tournament before losing 19-25, 25-14, 15-13 to Tejas 17 Rox (10-0) in the finals. Banzai also went three sets 22-25, 25-23, 15-10 to defeat Platform Elite 17-1 in the tournament.
Team members are Angela Yee, Macey Danker, McKenna Zeller, Cassidy Yong, Jessie Mosby, Serena Yong, Jordan Nuffer, Olivia Roland, Whitney Kostal, Janaya Fox and Christin Williamsen.

CHCICAGO - The Nebraska Dominators 18 Red won the GLC-Sports Performance National Junior Classic 18 Club Tournament in Chicago over Memorial Day Weekend.
The Dominators went 7-1 beating Uno Volleyball Club of Chicago in the finals 21-25, 25-23, 15-13. Lincoln Southwest graduate Ashley Leitner was voted M.V.P of the tournament, with Lincoln Northeast graduate Lindsay Coupons taking home the best blocker award.
Players include: Whitney Mason, Middle/Rightside, Lincoln Southwest; Lindsey Coupens, Middle/Rightside, Lincoln Nourtheast; Amanda Boender, Middle/Rightside, Waverly; Brandi Koll, Outside, Lincoln North Star; Ashley Leitner, Outside, Lincoln Southwest; Amy Jorgensen, Outside/Rightside/DS, Lincoln North Star; Gabby Kuhl, Outside/Rightside/DS, Lincoln Pius X;
