CREIGHTON — The West Holt Huskies won all three matches to claim first place at the Creighton Tournament on Saturday in Creighton.

West Holt defeated Ewing, Creighton and Hartington, with each match requiring a narrow victory.

Last week the Lady Vikings Volleyball squad picked up two wins and one loss in volleyball action last week.

On Tuesday night, the Lady Vikings traveled to Hartington for conference action. Hartington defeated Wausa in 4 games 29-27, 11-25, 17-25, and 24-26.

YANKTON, S.D. - Interim Mount Marty College president Dr. Carrol Krause announced July 13 the appointment of Candice Climer as head volleyball coach and instructor in the Education Department.

Climer is a 2005 Mount Marty graduate. She worked as an assistant volleyball coach under former MMC coach Tracey Grotenhuis for three years. She received her master’s degree in special education in 2008 from the University of South Dakota and is currently working on her doctorate in curriculum and instruction at USD.

Members of the Hartington teams played on three different club teams this offseason.
