NORTH PLATTE - Hershey survived and Ogallala dominated Monday in the first round of the C1-11 subdistrict held at North Platte High School.

Down two sets to love, the Lady Panthers came back from almost certain elimination to down Chase County 20-25, 26-28, 25-19, 26-24 and 15-6. Ogallala struggled in the first set, but defeated a much improved Gothenburg squad in three sets 25-23, 25-19 and 25-9. Hershey and Ogallala will meet in North Platte for the subdistrict championship tonight at 7 p.m.

SUTHERLAND—Two fundamentally sound opponents dealt the Swede volleyball team fits during a triangular at Sutherland on Sept. 6.

In the first match, Gothenburg’s girls held their own for most of the opening set against the Southwest Roughriders.

MCCOOK - The 20th Annual Sertoma All-Star Volleyball Classic gets underway at 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 18th when 25 of the area recently graduated volleyball stars meet at McCook High School.

MCCOOK - Area volleyball fans were treated to a strong display of talent at the 2010 Sertoma All-Star Volleyball Classic.

The 19th annual all-star match was held at the McCook High School gymnasium Saturday, June 19. The teams matched some of the top senior players from the 2009 fall season representing schools across southwest Nebraska.
