ANSLEY — Kara Ostrand (18) and Siera Rohde (16) combined for 34 service points to lead undefeated Ansley to a 25-15, 25-20, 25-13 victory over Elba/North Loup-Scotia (0-3).

Rohde led the Warriors (6-0) with 11 kills and five ace blocks.

Twin River sweeps triangular with Cross County, Friend

STROMSBURG — The Twin River volleyball team swept both matches at the Cross County Triangular to improve its record to 4-1.

The Titans beat the host Cougars 25-20, 25-18 and downed Friend 25-9, 25-21. Cross County beat Friend 25-18, 25-18 in the other match.

Heartland defense improves to defeat Friend

HENDERSON - Heartland head coach Brenda Glunz made no bones about what she wanted to see from her young team Tuesday night, and for the most part she liked what she saw.

The Heartland girls volleyball team improved to 2-1 with a three game 25-19, 25-15 and 25-14 sweep of the Friend Bulldogs.

Twin River defeats Cross County, Friend to improve to 4-2

GENOA — Twin River (4-2) downed Friend and Cross County in its home triangular.

The Titans defeated Friend 25-18, 25-11 as Brooke Peterson (five) and Abby Nelson (four) combined for nine kills in the match, while Jackie Bosak dished out 13 set assists and Ashley Kelley led with eight digs.

Twin River bested Cross County 25-9, 25-15 as Peterson led the Titans with nine kills, and Bosak had 17 assists.

GENOA — Twin River captured wins over Friend and Fullerton.

The Titans (12-8) bested Friend 25-17, 25-13 behind Brittany Klassen’s eight kills and three blocks. Kirsten Cromwell added five kills, four blocks and three ace serves, while Jackie Bosak added 20 assists.

Twin River defeated Fullerton (3-17) 25-7, 25-11 as Brooke Peterson (7), Cromwell (6) and Klassen (6) combined for 19 kills, while Bosak dished out 21 assists.
