Elgin Public Schools is proud to release the name of the soon-to-be inductee to the Elgin Public School Hall of Fame.

Shelli Riedmiller Swerzck, a 1988 graduate of Elgin Public School will be inducted Friday, Jan. 21, 2011 at the Wolfpack/Ewing basketball game.

CEDAR RAPIDS — Newman Grove won two matches at the Cedar Rapids Triangular as they downed Elgin 25-22, 25-21 and host Cedar Rapids 18-25, 25-17, 25-16.

Cedar Rapids topped Elgin 22-25, 25-22, 25-23.

The Tigers were led in their victory by Tara Doughty with eight kills and 18 digs. Sarah Buettner added 15 digs and Delilah Choat 14. Keri Beierman had seven kills for the Tigers.
