Shelton wins pair of tough matchesHAMPTON — Shelton (19-2) won two matches at the Hampton triangular by downing host Hampton 25-19, 25-20 and Elba 25-22, 25-22.
Kalli Brannagan had eight ace serves and seven kills to lead the Bulldogs to the win over Hampton. Tracy Glenn added five kills, Lexie Brandt five blocks and Kalynn Brannagan eight digs and three kills.
Sadie Shoup led the Hawks with eight kills, while Kaylee Klute added 12 assists and three points.
Palmer defeats Spalding/Spalding Academy in three setsSPALDING — Palmer downed Spalding/Spalding Academy 26-24, 24-26, 25-16 and Elba 25-14, 25-13 at the Spalding/Spalding Academy Triangular.
Chloe Wichman (nine points), Shelbea Mamot (nine) and Sara Mamot (seven) combined for 25 service points to lead the Tigers over Spalding/Spalding Academy. Wichmann added 18 digs and 11 kills, while Mamot added 25 digs. Shayla Wichmann had nine kills and Mamot had 32 assists and 16 digs.
Maggie Ramold was the top scorer for the Tigers against Elba as she accounted for 10 points. Sidney Roepker and Julie Happold each added six points, while Chloe Wichmann (six) and Shayla Wichmann (four) combined for 10 kills.
Osceola wins quadrangular, improves to 6-0 on seasonOSCEOLA — Osceola went 3-0 to win its own quadrangular on Saturday to remain unbeaten on the season at 6-0.
The Bulldogs downed Rising City 25-15, 25-10 in their first match. Jenna Micek had five kills and Michelle Wilgoski served 16 points for Osceola.
Osceola then defeated North Loup-Scotia 25-14, 25-15. Micek and Katie Wilgoski had five kills each. Krista Hermsmeyer had five kills and three blocks for North Loup-Scotia.
