WEEPING WATER – Weeping Water and Conestoga volleyball teams both competed in the Weeping Water Boosters Invite Saturday. Weeping Water won two of three matches and finished in second place. Conestoga played in three matches in the tournament.

The Mead volleyball team swept play at their own triangular Tuesday defeating Palmyra 2-1 and Conestoga 2-0.
Mead defeated Palmyra 25-14, 22-25, 25-17. Sophomore Devynn Patocka ended with 24 set assists. Sophomore Maddison Nygren led the team with seven kills while freshman Lauren Taylor and sophomore
Miranda Charles added six apiece and freshman Haley Konecky added five.

LOUISVILLE – Cass County students were named to All-East Central Nebraska Conference volleyball teams earlier this week during a meeting of league athletic directors and coaches.
Four Elmwood-Murdock players, three Louisville athletes, three Weeping Water players and two Conestoga athletes were named to either first-team, second-team, third-team or honorable mention squads. Elmwood-Murdock junior Megan Schmale and Louisville junior Natalie Minchow were both on the first team and Elmwood-Murdock senior Erika Stubbendeck was on the second team. Weeping Water senior Kylee Schreiner was a third-team selection.

CONESTOGA - A shorthanded Conestoga volleyball team fell to Ashland-Greenwood in three games Friday night.
Ashland-Greenwood improved its season record to 14-11 with a 25-7, 25-15, 25-23 victory over the Cougars. The programs only played a varsity match because Conestoga could suit up only eight players due to injuries. Conestoga saw its season mark drop to 1-25.
East Butler-Prague holds off Conestoga volleyball teamClick to view story on Cass County Journal
CONESTOGA - East Butler-Prague turned down the volume on an energetic atmosphere in Conestoga's gym by defeating the Cougar volleyball team in three games Thursday night.
The Tigers survived the first game 25-22 and defeated CHS 25-9, 25-19 in the other two games to earn their second victory of the season. East Butler-Prague improved to 2-20. Conestoga fell to 1-20.
PREVIEW CLASS C1 - ConestogaConestoga (11-18) saw its 2009 season end in a five-set loss to Concordia in the subdistrict semifinals.
All of the Cougars’ victories last season were against teams that had a losing record.
In stacking up the Cougars in the subdistrict, Conestoga was 0-2 against Auburn and 0-1 against Syracuse last season.
2010 PREVIEW - CONESTOGACONESTOGA – Conestoga's volleyball program pointed its compass in a positive direction last fall with a double-digit victory total and a taste of postseason success.
The Cougars hope to continue their hike along that winning path this season with four experienced players as their trail guides.
