COLUMBUS — No matter what the format, when it comes to volleyball, communication is key.
The Silver team took down the Green team in four sets Thursday during the 21st annual Central Community College/Columbus Telegram All-Star Volleyball Match, winning 25-12, 25-20, 18-25 and 25-21, and talked throughout the match to take the win.

COLUMBUS — Momentum sure is a slippery little bugger, especially considering the amount of familiarity between the two Cornhusker Conference foes.
After playing each other twice in the last two weeks, the Clarkson and Dodge volleyball teams met Tuesday in the D2-3 Subdistrict Tournament final, making it three times the two have clashed since Oct. 19.

CLARKSON — Five area teams competed in the Clarkson Invitational, but Humphrey High emerged the victor in the tournament Saturday, defeating Newman Grove 25-16, 27-25 in the championship.
Humphrey got to the championship game by defeating Oakland-Craig 25-9, 25-20 and David City Aquinas 25-17, 25-23.
Cornhusker Conference All-Conference squad releasedCOLUMBUS -- Several area volleyball players were named to the Cornhusker Conference All-Conference first team and honorable mention lists.
From Clarkson, Summer Gall and KC Heimann were both named first team all-conference, while Kelsie Wiese and Hannah Pfeifer made the honorable mention list.
Humphrey High had Leann Osten and Alyssa Frauendorfer on the first team, while Terin Wemhoff and Amber Meyer were honorable mention, while Humphrey St. Francis’ Jennifer Wemhoff was named honorable mention.
Clarkson beats Scribner-Snyder in four setsClarkson defeated the Scribner-Snyder volleyball team in four sets Tuesday.
The Red Devils won 25-23, 20-25, 25-17, 25-21.

Clarkson sweeps LeighCLARKSON — Despite wavering in the second set, the Clarkson volleyball team swept Leigh 25-13, 28-26, 25-18 Tuesday.
After winning in convincing fashion in the first set, the Red Devils were taken to the limit in the second set, but still came away with the set and then cruised in the third for the sweep.
Adrian Bruhn had 13 kills and 12 digs for the Panthers, while Brooke Wiese had 23 assists. Clarkson was led by KC Heimann’s 25 assists, four ace serves and two blocks, and Summer Gall had 13 kills and four blocks.
Clarkson defeats Humphrey in five setsCLARKSON - The Clarkson volleyball team rallied from a 2-0 deficit to upset Humphrey High 24-26, 21-25, 28-26, 25-19, 15-9.
Summer Gall paved the way for the Red Devils with eight kills and 29 digs. KC Heimann added seven kills and 18 set assists.
