Players selected for West All-Star Game at Scottsbluff on June 2SCOTTSBLUFF — Players have been selected for the East and West teams for the 28th-annual West Nebraska All-Star Volleyball Game. The 26 members of the volleyball teams were nominated by their respective high school coach and selected by the all-star coaches.

The volleyball coaches have been selected to lead the West and East teams for the 28th annual West Nebraska All-Star Volleyball Game. This year’s game will be played Saturday, June 2 in Scottsbluff at Cougar Palace on the campus of Western Nebraska Community College. Game time is set for 2 p.m. MDT.
Veteran volleyball coach Craig Schadwinkel from Gering High School has been selected as the Head Coach for the West. This is Coach Schadwinkel’s second time coaching in the All Star Game. He previously served as the assistant coach for the West in 1986.

When the first set ended, so did the hopes of a Hayes Center upset on Thursday night.
Brady outlasted Hayes Center 25-23 in the first set of the D2-5 District and then routed the Lady Cardinals 25-11 and 25-12 in the second and third sets.
With the win Brady advances to the Class D2 State Volleyball Tournament beginning next week in Grand Island.

LEXINGTON - Brady's coach Lynne Johnson teared up as the Eagles' subdistrict championship match against Class D2 No. 1 Bertrand ended - but it wasn't because of a loss.
D2 No. 6 Brady took control early and upset Bertrand 25-13, 25-19, 25-19 in D2-9 Subdistrict Tournament championship match Tuesday in Lexington.

BRADY — Both Brady and Mullen won their semifinal matches Tuesday and will now head towards a match-up in the finals of the Sandhills Conference in Brady on Saturday.
The Lady Eagles received a bye in the first round and then had little trouble in downing Hyannis in the first semifinal contest 25-14, 25-15 and 25-15. Hyannis had beaten Cody-Kilgore in game one of the tournament, 25-10 and 25-11 to advance to the semifinal.
